Before you view any real estate in Spain, first make sure you are aware of the costs and procedures involved in purchasing aproperty here.
The procedure is quite simple, but at Spanish Premier properties Ltd we treat each purchase with individual care and attention.
The first rule we always quote is:
Always, without exception, use the services of a reputable, registered lawyer.
The second rule is:
Always use the lawyer to make all the relevant financial transactions pertaining to the purchase of theproperty.
If you follow these and the following steps, buying aproperty in Spain should be a straightforward, safe and pleasant experience.

 |
Establish a budget for purchasing your property, bearing in mind closing costs and whether you will need a mortgage or alternative financing. |
 |
Contact Spanish Premier properties to help you find theproperty you are looking for. Our expert staff will guide you by asking all the right questions, so that we can match-up your preferences and requirements with the best portfolio of properties to consider. |
 |
View the properties. We do not believe in hard sell but rather focus on providing a service and helping our clients find the rightproperty. It is a policy that has stood us in good stead and one upon which we have built our reputation. |
 |
When you have found theproperty, contact a lawyer. Often at this point a holding deposit is paid to the owner or the developer. This is a standard procedure that takes theproperty off the market until the agreed deposit is paid. All these payments should be made via the lawyer's client account. Before any monies are paid, the lawyer will check the terms and conditions of the sale and ensure that all documentation and financial matters relating to theproperty are in order. A legally binding 'option to purchase' contract is now drawn up and a completion date is set. |
 |
When the date for completion or the final stage payment, as in the case of new developments, has arrived, your lawyer, a member of our staff and either yourself or your legal representative will meet at the Public Notary. It is here that the balance is paid, the title deed is registered in your name and you take possession of theproperty. |
